Suspension Technician - Automotive Manufacturing Dagenham, East London £38,456 per year 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–12:00am, with Fridays off for the afternoon shift Role Overview: The Suspension Technician is the technical expert within the Suspension area, providing skilled support for mechanical suspension activities. Acting as an internal trainer, the Technician ensures the technical competence of Operators and holds responsibility for approving work within the area. This role is crucial for maintaining product quality, safety, and efficiency in the build process. Key Responsibilities: Support the build process with skilled intervention when required, and coach/mentor colleagues to become multiskilled. Provide hands-on support during new product introductions, working closely with Engineering teams on prototypes and improvement build processes. Collaborate with Production Engineering to suggest, problem-solve, and implement improvements for more efficient production. Deliver skilled training to Operators to ensure technical competence. Verify the safety and compliance of components, including springs, shock absorbers, and alignment. Take technical approval responsibility for product release and sign-off.
