Role:
1. Responsible for strategic procurement projects across a range of categories
2. Ensure all procurement activity is in line with relevant legislation
3. Develop and maintain the contracts register
4. Work with key stakeholders to develop new cost saving strategies
5. Produce high quality tender documentation in line with Public Sector regulations
6. Develop and shape strategies, policies, processes and systems
7. Manage the procurement team and act as the key escalation point for any issues or queries
The Person:
8. MCIPS qualified or working towards
9. Previous experience with Public Sector procurement
10. Staff management
11. Great communication skills with proven ability of developing supplier relationships
