With the capability to deliver full end-to-end solutions—from design through to commissioning and support—they are known for their engineering excellence, innovation, and customer-first approach.The RoleAs an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with the business owner to design bespoke automation machinery as the company embark on a period of significant growth with full order books. This is the start of their exciting expansion plans and this person will play a key role in the future of the company.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and interpret customer/process requirements.Prepare functional design specifications and user manuals.Design electrical systems using EPLAN ProPanel, including 3D layout drawings.Create accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) for procurement and documentation.Collaborate with design and controls engineers to meet overall system needs.Support commissioning processes (FAT & SAT).Ensure compliance with safety directives and technical standards.Occasionally travel for customer meetings and site support.Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceProficient in EPLAN ProPanel or similar electrical design software.Familiar with SISTEMA and safety-related system design.Experieced in Control Panel designExperience in special-purpose machinery, automation, robotics, conveyor and vision systems.Strong communicator with excellent time management skills.Knowledge of UKCA/CE compliance and technical file creation.Degree or HNC/HND/BTECt in Electrical Engineering.Experienced in electrical design within automation or manufacturing.Interested?If you're a detail-oriented engineer with a passion for automation and problem-solving, we’d love to hear from you.
