every child experiences excellence every day.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage
our Trust-wide health and safety strategy. This is a pivotal role ensuring compliance with
legislation, embedding a proactive safety culture, and supporting our schools to provide safe
environments for pupils and staff.
You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant environment across all sites,

Working closely with senior leaders, Headteachers, and external partners, you will:
• Lead the development and delivery of the Trust's health and safety strategy, ensuring
compliance across multiple locations.
• Act as the Trust's designated competent person under health and safety legislation.
• Implement and oversee robust health and safety systems, including audits and risk
assessments.
• Provide training and guidance to staff, fostering a positive safety culture throughout
the organisation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and external agencies to embed best practice and
continuous improvement.
The role covers schools across Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, and Redcar.
It involves travel to all academy sites as required and offers a flexible, agile approach to
working, with hours and location adapted to the needs of the role and the individual.
The successful candidate will:
• Hold (or be working towards) Chartered IOSH status and a Level 6 Health & Safety
qualification (or equivalent).
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and management
systems.
• Have proven experience managing health and safety across multiple sites, including
