Salaried GP/Experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
We are a close-knit team of 3 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, plus 1 GP retainer, who are supported by an in-house First contact Physiotherapist (FCP) and a General Practice Assistant (GPA). We also have an experienced nursing team consisting of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse lead/Nurse prescriber, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, 1 phlebotomist and a Registered Nursing Associate (RNA). We also have a fantastic management team consisting of our Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and 2 office managers who are superbly supported by an administrative care navigation team.
We are heavily involved with the local medical school and university and have a teaching ethos, with all GPs being trained to assess medical students, and 2 GP Partners as GP Trainers. We host GP registrars, medical students, student nursing associates and nursing students and we encourage continued professional development across the team. We offer a wide range of services (Inc. minor surgery, joint injections, contraception clinics and menopause clinics); the surgery promotes a patient-centred approach to healthcare.
We are an active part of the WEB Primary Care Network (PCN) and this collaborative approach is supported by a PCN support team; with a lead manager, D&T lead, Wellbeing team, clinical pharmacist team, acute visiting paramedic; all working across the member practices.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the contract.
