Our client is hiring for a driven Senior Engineer to join their Bristol infrastructure team. This senior position is within a team of drainage and development infrastructure specialists, supporting an expanding client base of predominantly large residential developers.
The ideal candidate must have the drive to learn and develop, work well within a team, and possess excellent communication skills. Experience working for a consultancy on development schemes, particularly residential, is desirable as their current client base includes large residential developers, along with some industrial, commercial, and energy schemes. Projects range from initial feasibility, through planning and detailed design, to construction.

The role
* Developing Concept and Detailed Drainage Strategies, Levels Strategies, Earthwork Appraisals, and producing planning documents such as Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Technical Notes, and Utilities Statements.
* Undertaking Due Diligence reviews for land purchase, detailed design, and securing technical approval for S104, S38, S278, etc.
* Managing projects and leading the design of multiple schemes across various clients.
* Supporting and guiding junior team members, delegating tasks, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
* Checking drawing packages and calculations to meet standards and QA policies.
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders, preparing fee proposals, managing project finances, and business development.
What you need to succeed
* Advanced proficiency in MicroDrainage/Flow and AutoCAD; familiarity with Civils 3D/Site 3D is beneficial.
* Experience with pre-planning, planning stage projects, and detailed design, including technical approvals (S104, S38, S278).
* Strong technical knowledge of Sewer Sector Guidance, Building Regulations, DMRB, and Ciria C753.
