Role & Responsibilities
Proactively and successfully manage the employment dispute resolution process, such that we have had minimal employee tribunal claims in the past 30 years.
The HR Director reports to the CEO. With the retirement of our long‑standing HR Director, we are now recruiting a replacement to supervise the HR function on a part‑time basis (2 to 3 days a week).
The role is to supervise and manage the full range of HR policies and processes and to provide the highest standards of people care and service to both the business and its people.
Key aspects of the role include:
* Proactive response to employee relations including disciplinaries, grievances and general staff issues, continuing the company’s strong record in this respect.
* Overseeing all recruitment and selection for the restaurants including management and apprenticeships, with direct recruitment responsibility for senior employees, restaurant management and Head Office staff.
* Managing the Home Office skilled worker recruitment process and ensuring full compliance with all Home Office employment regulations.
* Ensuring proper people development and training at all levels.
* Delivering and refining the HR processes to achieve our people objectives.
The position is based in the Head Office with physical working, with travel to the restaurant locations all located in Central London.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
* A strong London‑based HR generalist background at Director level in the hospitality sector.
* CIPD qualified to Level 5 or above, or an equivalent level of experience with a strong working knowledge of employment law.
* Solid experience of recruiting in the hospitality industry.
* Experience of Indian cultures, professionally or personally, is an advantage.
* Experience of interfacing with payroll systems.
* Numerate, with good IT skills.
Salary & Working Conditions
Salary: Circa £100,000 pro‑rata, dependent on experience. Working 2 days a week, with flexibility to work a third day.
