An opportunity exists for a Regional Performance Lead to join the National Centre for Sustainable Delivery and lead high priority programmes across Scheduled Care on behalf of the Scottish Government.
The Planned Care Performance Team is responsible for implementing agreed Scottish Government Policy to improve both the accessibility and experience of patients using health and social care services and also support the delivery of planned care services to the patient population.
This is a high profile area of work that requires a passionate and experienced self-led individual who will confidently lead, develop, implement and be responsible for the direct management of a complex and multi-stranded performance management portfolio. As a result of effectively delivering agreed objectives, there will be an improvement in quality, performance and outcomes for patients. They will also be responsible for the co-ordination of all elements of service improvement and programme management across their individual portfolio areas at a Health Board, Regional and National level.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to secure clinical and operational engagement, which will drive safe, effective and person centred improvements in health care. They will be able to exhibit a demonstrable understanding of the NHS; an in depth understanding of programme/project management and improvement methodologies, with recognised expertise in practical application across a range of health and social care settings. The ability to work within a highly political agenda, manage tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities is essential.
