Job Title: Electrical Estimator
Salary: £30,000 £50,000 DOE
Hours: Monday Friday, 37.5 hours
Contract: Permanent
Location: Mansfield
An established engineering and manufacturing business operating within the UK Electrical infrastructure sector is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the team.
Applications are welcomed from Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Electrical Estimators, with the role and salary tailored to experience.
Electrical Estimator Responsibilities
* Produce accurate and timely quotations for engineered electrical products, ensuring compliance standards
* Manage and price customer enquiries ranging from smaller, straightforward quotations through to large, technically complex tenders
* Interpret customer specifications, electrical drawings, and schematics to prepare robust costings
* Compile estimates covering materials, labour, manufacturing processes, and subcontracted activities
* Liaise with internal departments including Sales, Engineering, Planning, and Production to gather technical and commercial input
* Communicate with customers pre-order to clarify requirements and resolve technical or commercial queries
* Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation in line with the management system
Electrical Estimator Experience Required
* Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment (junior applicants with relevant technical or electrical backgrounds will be considered)
* Understanding of electrical principles, drawings, and infrastructure
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously and meet deadlines
* Confident communicator, comfortable liaising internally and externally
* Junior level: willingness to learn, strong attitude, and desire to progress within estimating
* Senior level: proven experience handling complex quotations and providing technical/commercial guidance
