General Groundworks Labourers (Humpers & Carriers) Join Coinford – Groundwork & Infrastructure Specialists! We’re looking for hardworking and reliable General Groundworks Labourers to support our busy civils and construction teams. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, proactive, and ready to assist with a wide range of site tasks. Become part of a long-term, dependable workforce delivering high-quality work across all our sites. Key Responsibilities Carry out general labouring duties including lifting, carrying, and moving materials safely around site Support trades and groundworkers by keeping work areas tidy, stocked, and well organised Assist with basic groundworks tasks such as kerbs, edgings, paving prep, and small concrete works Help maintain access routes, ensuring paths and working areas are clear, clean, and safe Follow instructions from the Site Manager, Foreman, and trades to support smooth site operations Work safely around plant, machinery, and ongoing construction activities Load/unload deliveries and support general site logistics Carry out basic daily equipment/tool checks and report any issues promptly Desirable Skills & Experience Experience in labouring, groundwork, or general construction Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets (Dumper, Roller, Telehandler, etc.) welcomed but not essential Experience working as part of a team or gang on busy construction sites General Expectations Reliable, punctual, and ready to work hard Good communication and able to follow instructions clearly Works well with other trades and site operatives Commitment to maintaining a safe and tidy site Must have the right to work in the UK What We Offer Fair and competitive rates of pay Long-term opportunities on future projects Access to further training and development as required * Please note that to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards affiliated with CSCS and carrying the CSCS hologram.
