Job Description: Communications Coordinator
Shift Times: Monday - Friday. Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office.
Pay Rate: £118.58 Day Rate
Location: Hinckley Point C, Bridgewater TA5 1UD
Within this role, you will assist the Communications Advisor and the wider team in implementing communication tools to improve productivity and efficiency. You will collaborate with various functions to produce presentations, facilitate webinars, develop engaging content, and organise corporate events.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate regular publications such as weekly highlights and quarterly newsletters.
* Design and maintain content on intranet sites and social media channels.
* Engage with HPC and MEH partner communications representatives to provide updates on construction progress and good news stories.
* Create and edit content for events and brand initiatives, ensuring it is engaging and on-brand.
* Manage media personnel for filming and photography around MEH work areas on site.
* Maintain distribution lists and respond to queries on social media channels.
* Coordinate organisation-wide events like webinars, away days, and briefing sessions.
* Develop presentations for senior stakeholder delivery.
* Handle administrative tasks such as requesting quotes and raising purchase requisitions.
* Deputise for the Communications Advisor as needed.
Key Deliverables
* Timely delivery of MEH Weekly Highlights and Quarterly Newsletters.
* Contributions to The Point newspaper (HPC-wide publication).
* Successful execution of events, workshops, and webinars with post-event evaluations.
* Social media content development to support recruitment and brand visibility.
* Manage content for the MEH Alliance website.
Qualifications/Experience
* Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
* Varied graphic design portfolio across multiple media and demographics.
* Experience in editing and proofreading.
* Excellent command of English language and grammatical style.
* Proficiency in Office365 (SharePoint, PowerPoint).
* Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Minimum NVQ Level 4 or relevant experience.
* Knowledge of Canva, Wordpress, or Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
* Experience in energy, construction, or manufacturing is desirable.
* Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
