Your key responsibilities
- Work with the Management team to define the go‑to‑market Emerging Tech consultancy service and be part of the team to sell these services to our FS clients.
- Lead the implementation of Emerging Tech services for our clients by engaging with senior stakeholders and helping them safely adopt Emerging Tech and AI technologies.
- Provide guidance and input into internal projects that are building Emerging Tech assets in terms of architecture and engineering best practices and, where necessary, demonstrate best practices through implementation.

- A natural technical leader who can explain Emerging Tech to financial services clients, including non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders, collaborating to find solutions to complex technical situations.
- Identifying opportunities for and securing new business, including leading proposals and bid teams.
- A capability to direct a delivery team on all aspects of Emerging Tech and to engage with client stakeholders to oversee implementation progress.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Extensive experience in the software engineering industry and/or in a technology consulting domain.
- Previous experience working within financial services.
- Referenceable experience leading and delivering large‑scale transformation programmes that achieve significant cost‑take‑out targets, with journey and process improvement at the heart of it through the use of data and AI‑powered automation technology capabilities.
- Experience in facing off with CIO, CSO and CDO to help them with key messaging to unlock organisational bottlenecks and maintain engagement pace.
- Experience leading sales cycles for target clients and transitioning into delivery lead role as the key senior resource on the ground for day‑to‑day client management.
- Experienced in client delivery in the automation space involving a variety of technology capabilities, e.g.:
- One or more of the RPA products – Blue Prism, UI Path, Automation Anywhere.
- One or more of Auto‑ML platforms like Data Robot, Workfusion, Automation Hero, or others.
- One or more NLP‑based solutions for semantic search and/or entity classification – Re‑Infer, IBM Watson services, or services from AWS, GCP or Azure.
- One or more document digitisation solutions – Hyper Science, Kofax, Antworks, PlanetAI or cloud services from AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Experience with Process Mining & Data Visualization tools – Celonis, Pega Desktop Analytics, Process Gold, etc.
- Deep experience in workflow‑based solutions for maximising STP and implementing human‑in‑loop architecture – Xceptor, Pega, IBM BPM, Be‑Informed, jBPM or others.
- Experience in delivery of intelligent solutions by mixing on‑prem product‑based capabilities with cloud services.
- Knowledgeable about component‑based & event‑based architecture using messaging technologies like Kafka.
- Demonstrated experience with data security, information security and design patterns for failure recovery.
- Ability to architect and QA solutions as well as monitor and manage team delivery in a fast‑paced client environment.
- Experience in both back‑office and front‑office/contact‑centre‑based client environments – a prime requirement.
- Experience managing and owning business cases in partnership with client stakeholders from ideation to delivery, stabilization and value‑realisation phase.
- Proven experience establishing oneself as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in the client organisation.
- Established reputation as a domain practitioner within EY in the space of AI engineering, automation and intelligent solutions, called upon to support the sales process to showcase EY’s expertise.
- Proven people‑management skills and experience in leading teams.
