Typical day as a Maintenance Surveyor
* Carrying out pre and post inspections of repairs on both responsive and void properties, managing a patch across the South, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
* Providing technical advice and support to trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant service.
* Contract management including progress tracking against building works schedules. Utilizing customer insight to support our customer promise.
* Managing disrepair cases and helping customers address damp and mould issues in their homes.
* Accurately measuring materials to enable a right-first-time approach.
* Ensuring void re-servicing is carried out to a high standard, enabling quick re-let of properties.

You are
* Educated to a minimum HNC/HND or equivalent qualification within a surveying or building-related field, with significant professional experience in surveying.
* Knowledgeable of damp and mould causes, with a relevant qualification or willing to work towards one.
* Experienced in diagnosing and scoping property conditions, including disrepair and dilapidation surveys and remedial works.
* Able to understand building pathology and diagnose complex issues such as subsidence.
* Experienced in managing contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety laws, including CDM regulations.
* Proactive and self-sufficient, capable of managing your patch and delivering work on time, within budget, and commercially.

* Working Monday to Friday, with flexibility to shape your own diary around work, customers, and personal commitments.
* This is a hybrid role, with some days in the office and others working from home, plus work across properties in the South.
* You must be able to use technology for updating records, managing budgets and KPIs, completing online learning, and collaborating with colleagues.
* Hold a full UK driving licence and ensure your vehicle is insured for business use; mileage is covered!
* A Basic DBS check is required, and we will pay for it.
