EKFB is appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. The role is based in Calvert.
We’re looking to recruit a Section Engineer with Structures experience to join our team. You will report to the Sub Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to close out.
Responsibilities
* Supervise site engineering team from construction to close out; assist with temporary works design schemes.
* Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works to the required standards, programme and budget.
* Manage the site setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the Site Engineers; identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent.
* Monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed to contractual requirements.
* Ensure the team has current information and resources; assist with production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.
About You – Key Skills and Qualifications
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE).
* Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities with construction supervision skills.
* Experience in Structures is essential for this role.
* Experience in Highways is desirable.
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
* CSCS card (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor).
* SSSTS/SMSTS.
