We are recruiting for a Day Support Worker.

We are seeking individuals to join our young people services at Stonepillow as a day support worker. We want someone who is inspiring and passionate about young people's rights and building them a positive future.
We emphasize a trauma-informed approach and kindness in our work.
You will work with 16+ Older Looked After Young People and Care Leavers in the care of West Sussex. Familiarity with legislation related to young people in local authority care, safeguarding, whistleblowing, and health & safety is required.
This role is based in Chichester. No previous experience is necessary—just passion to work with young people and learn about homelessness!
Your duties will include:
* Providing support in a person-centred way.
* Modeling a kind, positive, persistent, and proactive manner to secure meaningful engagement with young people and ensure their safety and trust.
* Managing your own caseload and maintaining processes such as support and risk assessments, incorporating young people's views.
* Ensuring the voice of the young person is heard and communicated to all partners.
* Supporting your team leader with case file audits, safeguarding, and statutory actions.
* Facilitating quarterly case reviews with your line manager, young people, and professionals involved.
* Supporting referrals and working on life skills programs to promote independence.
* Role modeling unconditional positive regard and a 'never give up' attitude.
