Job Summary Our established is seeking a Newly Qualified GP (within 2 years of CCT) to join its collaborative, high-performing network of practices. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a developing GP to gain broad clinical exposure, strong support, and long-term stability through ARRS funding.
You will deliver a range of duties outlined in the GMS contract, including consultations, clinical administration, prescribing responsibilities, and continuity of care across PCN sites.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for a wide range of clinical presentations.
Undertake home visits and nursing home reviews as required.
Manage repeat prescriptions, medication queries, and relevant clinical documentation.
Screen patients for risk factors, early signs of illness, and chronic disease indicators.
Lead on clinical decision-making for undifferentiated and complex cases.
Request, interpret and action diagnostic tests, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Make timely referrals to secondary care or other healthcare providers.
Develop personalised care and treatment plans in line with NICE and local guidance.
Maintain accurate, high-standard clinical notes using EMIS or SystmOne.
Take part in clinical audits, learning events, and practice meetings to support continuous improvement.
Prescribe safely and appropriately, following formulary and BNF guidance.
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team and wider Federation staff.
Contribute to the achievement of PCN and Federation performance indicators and service priorities.
About You
Newly qualified GP within 2 years of CCT.
Confident in managing a broad primary care caseload.
Able to work flexibly across PCN sites using EMIS and/or SystmOne.
Strong communicator with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
Motivated to contribute to service improvement and local primary care development.
