Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing support to live a valued life. We address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, substance misuse, housing, and related support services.
We operate nearly 200 services across England with close to 3,500 staff and volunteers, supporting approximately 125,000 people annually.

* Role: Building Recovery in Communities Coordinator
* Vacancy No: VN4871
* Type: Permanent
* Hours: 37 per week
* Work Pattern: Monday to Friday
* Location: County Durham, DL12 9BG
About the Role
This role involves managing a service user caseload, developing and reviewing recovery plans, and liaising with multidisciplinary teams, including family members. You will conduct focus groups, promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, and recruit, train, and supervise peer mentors with lived experience. Collaboration with partner agencies to undertake assessments and interventions is essential, as is facilitating access to treatment and community resources to promote recovery and social capital.
The role also includes leading case management activities such as risk assessments and safeguarding, utilizing an online case management system.
Additional Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to service users in sustained recovery, ensuring holistic care encompassing all wellbeing areas.
* Recruit, train, and supervise peer mentors supporting group activities and projects.
