Full-Time Teaching Assistant

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support & general TA duties)
Location: Cambridgeshire. You will be expected to work within multiple schools within the borough.
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support and general TA duties to our schools within Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with young children and making a positive impact on their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, and have a nurturing and patient approach.

Responsibilities:

* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to children with SEN, assisting with their learning, social development, and emotional well-being.
* Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans and activities.
* Encourage the children’s confidence and independence within the classroom environment.
* Help with academic tasks, including literacy, numeracy, and other subjects.
* Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
* Foster positive relationships with the children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
* Assist with classroom management and support other students as needed.

Requirements:

* Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
* A passion for helping young children achieve their full potential.
* Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
* A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
* An enhanced DBS check will be required.
* Ability to travel between schools is desirable, but not essential
