We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our specialist home in Warrington to provide high-quality care and life-enriching opportunities to the people we support.
Riverside is a 3-storey town house setting, that supports 8 adults with adults with autism and learning disabilities to be independent and achieve their own goals.
Located near central Warrington, Riverside is set across 4 homes with 2 adults in each. There is always something going on - from day trips out to the beach or park, to throwing house celebrations for every occasion, the people we support at Riverside love being active and involving each other in their daily activities. As part of their support team, you will assist them with this, empowering them to be both independent and social. No two days will be the same at Riverside.
As part of a support team you will be responsible for supporting people to move into their new home. You will get to know each individual, find out their interests, and support them to achieve the small and big steps in reaching their goals and living the life they choose. Each day will be completely different, but you will be there to guide them through all of life's milestones and challenges.
As a Support Worker, you will be a key part of their day to day support team, actively valuing and amplifying what matters to them, empowering their communication and independence, planning fulfilling activities. You will also keep records of their needs, support provided and progress.
You will help to create a warm, stimulating environment whilst working a mix of day shifts and sleeps to meet individual needs.
You'll do more than provide care – you'll be a mentor, advocate, and source of encouragement, helping the people you support to achieve the best outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs
Build trusting relationships and support emotional and behavioural needs using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication, and household tasks
Promote independence and choice, encouraging the people we support to make their own decisions wherever possible
Support with day-to-day activities to ensure the people we support make the most of every opportunity
What we're looking for
There are no formal qualifications required for this role, but we are looking for an individual that is:
Passionate about person-centred care
Resilient and tenacious
Positive and proactive
Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Experience in care is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
Full UK Driving Licence is advantageous.

Salary £25,516.01 - £29,817.56 (based on experience and 1 sleep-in per week)
