Part-Time Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant
Hours: 20 hours per weekWorking Pattern: Mornings across 4 or 5 days (To Be Agreed)FTE Salary: £30,000 DOE (Prorated for part time hours)

About the Role
We are a fast-growing UK design and manufacturing business preparing for significant scale. We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to take ownership of all day-to-day finance preparation and transactional processing, ensuring the business is financially accurate, compliant, and well prepared for growth.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, accurate, and confident working independently within established processes.
Finance Responsibilities
* Enter all transactions into Sage 50 (sales invoices, purchase invoices, bank postings)
* Perform daily bank reconciliations
* Maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ledgers
* Load supplier payment schedules
* Send remittance advice
* Prepare payroll inputs (timesheets, overtime, expenses)
* Maintain and update the rolling cashflow tracker
* Track proformas, customer deposits, credit limits, and insurance limits
* Raise sales invoices and proformas for confirmed orders
* Conduct credit checks for new customers
Weekly & Monthly Tasks
Weekly
* Prepare supplier payment runs
* Reconcile supplier statements
* Collate payroll reports
Monthly
* Ensure all invoices are posted and chase any missing documents
* Prepare month-end close information for leadership/accountants
* Support stock valuation checks (financial perspective)
* Update rolling cashflow forecasts
What We’re Looking For
* Highly accurate and detail-focused
* Prior experience in bookkeeping or finance administration
* Comfortable using accounting software (Sage ideal but training provided)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Reliable and capable of working independently
