Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Materials Manager to lead the planning and coordination of production and materials across our manufacturing facility. This role is key to maintaining efficient workflows, meeting delivery targets, and supporting company-wide cost and service goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily and long-term production schedules to support smooth and efficient plant operations.
* Align inventory and operational plans with sales forecasts and customer service goals.
* Maintain accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and system forecasts in the MRP system.
* Track and report on production progress, identifying and resolving issues that impact delivery timelines.
* Collaborate with corporate planning teams to meet service level expectations and inventory targets.
* Make strategic decisions about inventory levels to balance working capital and customer needs.
* Support sourcing initiatives and help strengthen supplier performance and relationships.
* Manage purchase order processing and track spending to ensure it aligns with budget targets.
* Lead physical inventory events or ongoing cycle count programs, depending on business needs.
* Use sales and demand inputs to drive decisions that impact inventory turns and capital efficiency.
* Emphasize process improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the planning and supply chain functions.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in production planning and materials management within a manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems (M3 ) and solid understanding of MRP principles.
* Familiarity with supply chain planning tools (Logility experience is a plus).
* Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
* Proven ability to problem-solve and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement systems such as TPS is strongly .
* Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and collaboration.
