We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 2–3 person Civils Gang to join our growing Drainage Services team based out of our Worcester office. You’ll be working on some of our highest‑profile drainage and civils contracts, with the chance to develop your career within a business that’s expanding fast. Onsite are part of SSI, within the South Staffordshire Group – a utilities‑focused group of over 3,000 employees, including South Staffs and Cambridge Water. The Role
* Installing new drainage systems (foul, surface water and combined)
* Laying pipes (clay, uPVC, concrete) to line, level and grade
* Constructing manholes, chambers, gullies and catch pits
* Installing attenuation systems, soakaways, filter drains and SUDS elements
* Carrying out hand and machine excavation works
* Operating plant such as 360 excavators, dumpers and rollers (where ticketed)
* Working from drawings and using pipe lasers and levels to ensure accuracy
* Completing repairs, maintenance and remedial drainage works where required
* Adhering to all health & safety procedures, including RAMS, trench safety and PPE
* Completing daily paperwork and reporting progress to site management
What You’ll Need
* CSCS cards (all crew members)
* NPORS or CPCS tickets for plant operators (360, dumper, roller)
* Confined space training (desirable)
* NRSWA / Street Works (for highway drainage works – desirable)
* Experience reading technical drawings
* Solid understanding of drainage systems and groundworks
* Full UK driving licence
