TPF Recruitment is supporting a growing and reputable firm of accountants with multiple offices across Sussex in their search for a Part-Time Junior Bookkeeper to join their outsourcing team based in Brighton.

About the Role
As part of the outsourcing team—which includes bookkeepers, management accountants, and payroll administrators—you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to clients. Your work will form the foundation of the services provided.
* Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for a diverse client base using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and ClearBooks.
* Manage client relationships and support them with software and bookkeeping queries.
* Complete bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and other entries up to trial balance.
* Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns.
* Ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.
* Prepare schedules and reports as needed.
Requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has well-rounded bookkeeping knowledge.
* Is experienced with cloud-based accounting software.
* Can work independently and manage their workload.
* Is detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
* Delivers outstanding customer service.
* Is proactive and a strong team player.
* Has experience in an accountancy practice (preferred).
