Accounts Assistant – Warrington Salary £27,000
Looking for a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant to join a vibrant finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on individual with a strong all-around accounts background who thrives in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Sales ledger – raising invoices, allocating payments, and issuing customer statements
· Purchase ledger – processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payments
· Credit control – proactively chasing overdue payments and maintaining good customer relationships
· Monitoring customer credit limits and advising when they are at risk of being exceeded
· Bank reconciliation – reconciling company bank accounts and processing bank statements
· Ensuring month-end deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency
· Managing supplier invoices and resolving any related queries
· Supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required
The ideal candidate:
· Previous experience in a similar account’s role
· Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
· Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
· Confident communicator, both written and verbal
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
Monday – Friday 8am-5.30 pm
Salary £27,000
