At Kings Park School, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their dreams. We are a close-knit specialist provision supporting pupils with additional needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and PDA), and we are growing our team of exceptional teachers.
We are seeking a KS1/KS2 Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with gaps in learning, particularly in phonics, literacy and core functional skills, and who is committed to helping every child make meaningful progress from their starting points.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
5. Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across KS1 and KS2, adapted to meet a wide range of SEND needs
6. Lead and deliver targeted interventions, particularly in phonics, reading, writing and maths, to close gaps in learning
7. Use a range of adaptive teaching strategies to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and experience success
8. Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, using this to inform next steps and refine teaching approaches
9. Support pupils’ emotional regulation, engagement and readiness to learn, recognising behaviour as a form of communication
10. Work closely with the SENCo, teaching assistants and wider team to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach to support
11. Build strong relationships with families and external professionals to support pupil development holistically.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
12. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
13. Experience of working with pupils with SEND, particularly those with communication and interaction or SEMH needs
14. Strong understanding of phonics and early reading, and experience delivering effective interventions
15. Ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs and abilities
16. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
17. A proactive, reflective and flexible approach, with a good sense of humour
18. A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils
