Job purpose
To be part of a Large Security Management Team providing 24/7 security to an international client. Working in a dedicated control room environment maintaining the security over a number of sites.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring surveillance equipment (CCTV)
* Maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and responding to active alarms
* Compile detailed reports on incidences, health and safety issues and completing handovers
* Direct front line controllers and security officers. Co-ordinate day to day operational needs by assisting the duty Supervisor and reporting directly to the Duty Manager
* Leading the control room team and day to day operational requirements of the control room, including rostering, break management, incident control, HR requirements and other similar duties as needed
* Providing training to all new and existing controllers, liaising with the training manager to ensure all necessary training and refresher training has been completed
* Provide a consistent line of communication with the client regarding any events or communications relating to the control room
* To attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings as required
Knowledge skills & experience
* Able to influence and interact with people at all levels of the organisation
* Excellent communication both verbal and written
* Self-disciplined, organised and highly capable. Proactive, innovative and practical approach
* Reliable, conscientious and cooperative
* Positive mental attitude and team player
* At least 2 years control room and CCTV experience is essential
* Proficient in all Microsoft packages
* Ability to work in a pressurised environment
* Attention to detail
* The ability to support and lead a team of up to 8 people
Hours of work
Monday to Sunday, 4 on 4 off, days and nights
