WoolpitHealth Centre is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking MedicalReceptionist to join our busy evolving Reception Team. This is a great opportunity for those alreadyworking in a healthcare setting who wish to work within primary care or forthose who wish to start a career as a Medical Receptionist.
Therole of Medical Receptionist is to support the clinical team by signpostingpatients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service, working as partof the practices multidisciplinary team such as physiotherapists and mentalhealth nurses. Duties will include dealing withpatients by telephone and face to face whilst providing administrativesupport to assist with the day-to-day running of the Health Centre.
Thesuccessful candidate will be flexible and reliable with the ability to workunder pressure to compliment our experienced and dedicated Reception Team.
Working hours for this post are as follows:
20 hours per week
Monday - 8am until 6pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Tuesday - 8am until 2pm
Wednesday- no core working hours
Thursday- no core working hours
Friday - 1pm until 6.30pm
Main duties of the job
Toensure that an effective and efficient reception service is provided topatients and any other visitors to the practice
Todeal with all general enquiries and explain surgery procedures
Answeringthe telephone and call navigating to appropriate clinicians or healthcareprofessional depending on the presenting condition
Booking,amending and cancelling patients appointments, ensuring optimum efficiently ofthe appointment system
Monitoringand processing Anima requests alongside theTriage clinician
Accurately maintaining patient database and records
Openingup/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security
Processingand distributing incoming mail
Totake messages accurately and pass on information
Filingand retrieving paperwork and medical records as necessary
Assisting patients with support on use of medical platforms such as NHS app and Anima
