Our dedicated and experienced instructors provide a range of counsellor training programmes at our venues in Hythe and Deal, from introductory courses to advanced training for established professionals. We support individuals at every stage of their career, whether they are just starting out or have years of practice experience.
Role Description
This is a sub-contracted, in-person role for a Process Group Lead, located in Deal, Kent. The Process Group Lead will facilitate group sessions for a small group of students on a regular basis. The sessions will be held on Mondays, either at lunchtime or at the end of the teaching day, with the exact timing open to negotiation. The timetable is also open to negotiation, although sessions are typically fortnightly.
The Process Group Lead will have full control over how the work is conducted. Due to the nature of the work and the importance of rapport and relationship, substitute or replacement workers will not be accepted. If the Process Group Lead is unavailable for a scheduled session, the session will be rearranged rather than accepting a substitute. There is no obligation for Long Valley Therapy Training to offer work, nor is there any obligation for the Process Group Lead to accept it. However, we will offer a fixed-term agreement that defines the arrangement.
Limitations
This is a sub-contracted position and does not in any way constitute employment. The Process Group Lead will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance contributions. Payment will be based on invoices submitted by the Process Group Lead. The position will be offered subject to an interview.
Payment Terms
We offer £70 for 1 hour of facilitation.
Essential
* A qualification in therapeutic group facilitation
* Minimum level 4 diploma in Counselling or equivalent
* Membership in a PSA associated professional body (NCPS, BACP etc.)
* Appropriate insurance
* Availability from Mid September 2025

* Experience working with trainees
* Excellent coordination and organisational skills
* Strong verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with group facilitation
Financial Responsibility
The Process Group Lead will bear financial risk and provide their own equipment necessary for the role.
