Within specialist practice, the nurse specialist:
* Works towards advanced knowledge and skills within their field.
* Contributes to planning, delivering, and evaluating care pathways for a designated group of patients.
* Supports the development of nursing practice within the specialist area and contributes to nursing knowledge.
* Participates in training and education within the specialist area.
