Salary: Grade 4, £27,113 - £29,369 per annum pro rata. Approximate pro rata £19,659 - £21,295 per annum (0.72508 FTE) About us and the role Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to thrive and reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our growing school, where your skills and care will have a lasting impact on pupils' lives. In this vital role, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their individual goals. You will contribute to tailored learning programs, assist in creating a positive and supportive environment, and provide one-to-one or small group guidance as needed. Your role will also involve promoting pupils' social, emotional, and physical development, while encouraging their independence and self-confidence. Act as a role model, set high expectations and support children with special needs and personal care, encouraging their independence Support specific learning programs, set and review ILP targets and facilitate access to specialist provisions Encourage cooperative interaction among children, support National Curriculum delivery and assist in planning and classroom preparation Comply with child protection and health policies, liaise with parents/carers, and attend relevant meetings and training Provide emotional and social support, accompany children on trips, assist with pastoral care, and commit to safeguarding and welfare policies Why should you apply Avanti exists to help each person become a well-rounded human being through intellectual, moral and spiritual growth, and so make the world a better place.
