Chemistry Teacher
NextGen Teachers are working with a secondary school based in Leeds who are seeking a skilled and committed Chemistry Teacher to join their dynamic Science faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive team and deliver high-quality teaching in a well-resourced and forward-thinking department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. A strong subject knowledge and a passion for developing students' scientific understanding is essential, especially at A Level where you will be preparing students for university and STEM-related careers.
Responsibilities
Teach Chemistry to KS3, KS4, and A Level
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum
Deliver practical science safely and effectively using laboratory resources
Support student progress through high-quality feedback and intervention
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and science events
Requirements:
A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS/QTLS)
A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
Proven experience teaching A Level Chemistry
Strong classroom management skills and high expectations of students
Commitment to continued professional development and collaborative working
An enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service
