An established manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety across its operations.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is critical in ensuring full EHS compliance, driving continuous improvement and embedding a strong health & safety culture within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) across the business
* Act as the company’s Competent Person for Health & Safety
* Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, regulations and best practice
* Maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
* Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections
* Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and incident investigations
* Deliver structured Health & Safety training to employees and management
* Control and manage contractor safety on site
* Liaise with external bodies, regulators and auditors
* Provide clear, proactive EHS advice to senior management
The Ideal Health & Safety Manager Candidate:
* NEBOSH qualified (essential)
* Proven Snr Health & Safety experience within manufacturing / production Environment
* Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards
* Experience leading audits, risk assessments and compliance programmes
* Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels
* Proactive, organised and improvement-driven
