Overview
Join a new service at Campsfield House IRC focused on providing a high-quality service to the residents. The duties will vary depending on the needs of the department with the day’s priorities agreed with the Head of Healthcare and Senior Clinical Lead. Work with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, person-centred, non-judgemental care. Share knowledge and expertise to encourage professional development and provide leadership to junior staff. Work closely with partners and stakeholders to pursue continuous quality improvement and ensure healthcare records are maintained in accordance with governance policies.
Responsibilities
* Complete medication rounds and dispense controlled medication
* Attend and lead in emergency response situations
* Triage and assess patients
* Management and care of minor illness and injuries
* Assessment, evaluation and implementation of care for long-term conditions
* Undertake reception screening
* Complete health promotion
* Be the named lead nurse for an area of healthcare

DrPA has been operating in secure environments since 2014 providing General Practitioner services and is expanding to provide a complete healthcare service at Campsfield House IRC by NHS England. Services are delivered directly or through specialist partners, guided by the CARE ethos: Compassionate care, Assurance of evidence-based care, Respect for cultural and religious beliefs, and Equitable care in line with community services.

Requirements
Essential
* Registered nurse – Adult
* Current professional qualification (NMC) with no restrictions to practice
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff
* Ability to participate in multi-professional teamwork
* Ability to work without direct supervision
* Believe and work within Dr PA Secure values
Desirable
* Mentorship qualification
* Up-to-date clinical knowledge of wound management, including complex wounds
* Knowledge in substance misuse
* Previous experience within a secure setting or primary health care setting
* Experience of patient assessment and triage
* Competent in venepuncture
* Management of long-term conditions
