Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter/kitchen assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Responsibilities
* Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
* Supporting the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, appliances, and storage areas
* Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
* Restocking supplies and organising storage areas to facilitate efficient workflow
* Assisting with the setup and breakdown of service areas during busy periods
* Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment
* Food preparation - vegetables, meat, fish and other fresh produce
* Willing to follow company recipes to spec
* Heath & hygiene certificate or willing to work towards this
Skills
* Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
* Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is desirable
* Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures
* Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
* Flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the kitchen setting

Must be available to work anytime between the hours of 12noon - 9PM. Shift patterns vary between Monday to Sunday
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour
