Job Summary
As a Consultant in Haematology, Iron and Transfusion Medicine, you'll take a leading role in improving transfusion practice and patient blood management across Oxford University Hospitals and NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). You'll provide expert clinical leadership in transfusion medicine, drive safe and appropriate blood use, and oversee the daytoday delivery of the Iron Deficiency Management Service. Your work will influence national practice through audit, research, and participation in regional and national committees. You'll collaborate closely with clinical teams, transfusion practitioners, and laboratory colleagues to reduce unnecessary transfusion, strengthen governance, and support cuttingedge digital decisionsupport systems. Experience and Knowledge
Recent experience of hospital based clinical and laboratory transfusion medicine.
Qualifications And Training
Full GMC registration with licence to practice and on Haematology specialist register (or eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview).
