Start your career by making a real difference.

Are you looking for a role where you can have a positive impact every single day? At Housing 21, we’re passionate about providing safe, welcoming homes for older people of modest means — and we’d love you to be part of it.

We’re looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help people. Previous experience is always useful, but what really matters is your outgoing personality, flexibility, and eagerness to learn. In return, we’ll give you excellent training, real responsibility, and the opportunity to begin a rewarding career in social housing.

As one of the UK’s leading providers of retirement housing, we believe in more than just bricks and mortar. Our Retirement Living Courts bring people together, offering independence while building community. And as our new Assistant Local Housing Manager Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in making that happen.

What will your days look like?

No two will ever be the same. One day you might be organising activities that bring neighbours together, the next you could be welcoming new residents or making sure our health and safety standards are met. It’s varied, people-focused, and full of opportunities to grow.

What’s in it for you?

* A nationally recognised Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) qualification

* A Level 3 in Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship

* A chance to kickstart your career in social housing with a supportive team

* The satisfaction of knowing your work makes a genuine difference

* An initial 18-month contract with the potential to secure a permanent role

If you share our passion for supporting older people to live well and independently, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today — and start a career that matters.

Why us?

We also offer a great benefits package including Blue Light Card discount, holiday trade scheme, volunteer days, Occupational Sick Pay, Occupational Maternity Pay and more.

With an exciting national development programme for older people’s housing, there’s never been a better time to join Housing 21.

If you require more information before applying for this role, please see the attached job profile.

Closing date for applications 21 October 2025, with interviews taking place 24 October 2025
