JOB TITLE Senior Despatch Administrator REPORTING TO Despatch Manager RESPONSIBLE FOR This role has no employees reporting to it. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB This role will impact on the success of the company through the accurate allocation of products to hauliers and the monitoring of product shortfall to ensure continued customer satisfaction. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Effective liaison with production re the scheduling of priority despatches. Effective liaison with on site hauliers re the allocation of products and weighbridges. Effective liaison with loaders re the allocation of work orders. Effective liaison with haulage companies re the distribution of customer orders as required. Orders are received and accurately documented. Orders are checked against customers last requirements to ensure continued service. Load manifests are printed and distributed as required. High levels of customer service are maintained whilst dealing with hauliers, and customers. Cover is provided as required including early morning shift from 0500 - 1300. Weekend despatch cover as required. Ability to foresee product shortfalls and assist with production scheduling. Provide cover to The Production Planning role. Schedule haulier collection times to assist with level loading. Trouble shoot all aspects of the D365 Error Queue and identify repetitive errors that could be eradicated. Trouble shoot weight issues and remedy with best solution. Assist with Training new starts. Competent with Main Gate role to improve problem solving skills. Provide shift cover to main gate when required. Competent with internal audits Competent in resolving all bulk or bag order queries. Comprehensive analysis and generation of daily / weekly reports within Logistics. Key decision maker in the Despatch Office in the absence of the Despatch Manager. All housekeeping activities are adhered to. All company policy is complied with and supported. All Health & safety procedures are adhered to. All relevant PPE is worn in accordance with the health and safety procedures. All Environmental & Quality procedures are adhered to. Personal training and development needs are identified with supervisor. All relevant training is attended. Induction, company training and appraisal is supportedas required. Any other duties are carried out as appropriate. Preference will be given to those with knowledge of DSL / D365 systems Experience Candidates should have a minimum of two years experience in a despatch / production planning environment.
