About Us
At Quarry Bank Medical Centre, we are proud to be a thriving, patient-focused surgery at the heart of the Dudley community. Our ethos combines clinical excellence with compassion and innovation — qualities that define our vision to lead, not follow, in the evolving landscape of primary care.
We are deeply aligned with the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan, striving to deliver care that is preventative, personalised, digitally enabled, and education-led. Our practice has already taken major steps towards this vision by:
* Expanding access through a See and Treat Practitioner model to support GPs and improve same-day care.
* Working collaboratively with First Contact Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Mental Health Practitioners, Listening and Guidance Services, Social Prescribers, and a Dietitian to deliver holistic, joined-up care.
* Hosting medical students, physician associates, and pharmacy trainees through partnerships with the University of Birmingham and Keele University.
* Implementing digital tools such as Accurx total triage, structured templates, and data-informed QOF management.
* Fostering a team culture built on mutual respect, trust, and shared purpose — where every member is valued, supported, and empowered.
The Role
We are seeking a Salaried GP with Trainer approval (or working towards it) who combines strong clinical experience with genuine enthusiasm for education and service development. This is more than a clinical post — it’s an opportunity to help shape the next generation of general practitioners and influence the future of primary care delivery.
You will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment that values collaboration and professional growth. Beyond your day-to-day clinical sessions, you’ll play a key role in supporting our teaching programmes and contributing to new service models that reflect NHS priorities for the next decade — prevention, population health, education, and innovation.
This role will suit someone who sees medicine as a calling of the heart — someone who finds meaning in mentorship, connection, and community health.
* Fully GMC-registered GP with a licence to practise
* Minimum 3 years post-CCT experience in UK General Practice
* Approved GP Trainer (or within 6 months of completing approval)
* Evidence of specialist interest or extended clinical skill, such as:
* Minor Surgery / Joint Injections
* Dermatology or Skin Health
* Diabetes, Respiratory, or Cardiovascular Disease
* Passion for teaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement
* A collaborative approach and commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
Why Join Quarry Bank Medical Centre?
* Supportive team culture where relationships come first and ideas are welcomed.
* Structured support for GP training, mentorship, and education leadership.
* Forward-thinking approach fully aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan.
* Opportunities to contribute to service redesign and population health projects.
* Flexible sessions and modern digital systems that support sustainable workloads.
* A genuinely friendly, innovative, and inclusive practice environment.
Our Vision
“To deliver care that is innovative, inclusive, and inspired — leading the way in community health, education, and preventative medicine in line with the NHS Long Term Plan.”
At Quarry Bank, we believe that the best clinicians are those who lead with head and heart — combining intellect with empathy, structure with creativity, and ambition with humility.
