Part time, fixed term.
Location: York.
Salary: £31,236 - £33,951 per annum (£17,179 - £18,673 pro rata).
Overview
Situated in the heart of York, York St John University is a distinguished higher education provider committed to inclusive, innovative, and ambitious community values. This role is part of a cross‑institution team researching recovery after long‑standing eating disorders.
Team
The team brings together researchers from YSJ University, the University of York, and TEWV NHS Trust to explore underrepresented recovery experiences.
Role
The role reports to the Principal and Co‑investigators within the Department of Psychology, contributing to the design and delivery of the project. The successful candidate will develop and share a nuanced understanding of recovery from eating disorders with the community.
Start: 1 September 2026 – 30 April 2027. 0.55 FTE. Working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to design and implementation of research projects.
* Generate and analyze data related to eating disorder recovery.
* Communicate findings to academic and community audiences.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in mental health research and an appreciation for coproduction.
* Confidence in independent work and collaborative teamwork.
* Strong organisational skills and IT proficiency.
* Desirable: experience facilitating groups.
