We are looking for a Pharmacometrics Lead who is innovative and agile to join us in our Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology group, based at our research site in Slough (UK) or Braine (Belgium).
About the role
You will be leading and delivering the Pharmacometrics strategy to support development of our assets, extrapolation (where appropriate), dose selection, trial design, PIP development and ongoing evaluation of data as generated.
Who you'll work with
Reporting to the Global Head of Pharmacometrics.
What you'll do
1. Performing hands-on PBPK, QSP, and clinical trial simulations on an assigned project.
2. Transform PBPK and QSP analyses into actionable insights and communicate these findings effectively to project teams and stakeholders.
3. Developing submission ready fit for purpose Pharmacometrics analysis plans and reports.
4. Initiating and overseeing outsourced pharmacometrics activities and further internalizing the work as needed.
5. Supporting the development of a team from both a technical and scientific perspective to ensure state-of-the-art mechanistic approaches are applied to optimize drug discovery and development.
6. Having a working knowledge about regulatory pathways on a global basis and opportunities for collaboration with health authorities (either through working parties, advice meetings, and other initiatives) in pediatrics, Neurology and Immunology.
7. Working closely with the QCP leads assigned to the various projects to ensure clear integration of the pharmacometrics aspects into the programs.
8. Work with IT to ensure appropriate system validation and integration with other software is enabled.
9. Promoting MID3 internally and externally.
Interested? For this role you’ll need the following education, experience and skills
10. Doctorate (PhD or MD) in related disciplines of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Statistics or Engineering with at least 6 years in PBPK and QSP modeling in (Bio)pharmaceutical industry.
11. Hands on expertise in PK-Sim® / MoBi®, SimCyp®, GastroPlus®, MatLab and R. Hands on experience with NONMEM and python is an additional advantage.
12. Hands-on experience in population PK/PD modeling is desirable.
13. Agile mindset with a proven ability to adjust by prioritizing multiple tasks.
14. Outstanding communication, organizational and presentation skills.
