Job Title: Design Manager
Location: Swindon
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
We're looking for a talented and experienced person to join our team in Swindon and to make a positive impact within our growing business. Managing the design process from pre-construction through to and including the construction phase for projects up to £30m.

Job Purpose:
Managing the design process from the pre-construction stage to provide compliant, accurate, and timely design information using experience, knowledge, and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
* Plan all aspects of the project, identify challenges, and propose cost-effective solutions.
* Ensure compliance with current legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
* Minimize health, safety, and financial risks during construction.
* Maintain quality information flow to meet project timelines.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders through open and clear communication.
Experience:
* Understanding of traditional construction and Design & Build (D&B).
* Thorough knowledge of CDM regulations.
* Experience with software such as BIM and 4Projects.
Candidate qualities:
* Ability to work well independently and in a team.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Knowledge of alternative procurement methods, including frameworks, negotiated, and two-stage tenders.
