Supplying prestigious major retailers, food service and OOH customers with delicious and on trend products, they are now looking for an Assistant Technical Account Manager to help them continue to deliver successful products into the market place.
The Role
In this Technical role you’ll report to the Technical Account Manager and be responsible for managing the technical relationship between the company and their UK accounts.
Your key accountabilities will include:
· Acting as one of the main point of contacts for your customer for all technical queries. This will involve regular communication regarding customer requests and product information, building strong relationships to allow business growth for now and in the future.
· Coordinating and organising test samples such as nutritional and foreign body analysis to send to relevant laboratories
· Processing, completing and reviewing customer product specifications, including liaising with relevant manufacturing sites and legal departments to ensure they are accurate.
· Ensuring all technical needs are met at all times across multiple departments, providing internal teams such as Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations with technical support to aid the commercial running of the account whilst considering budgetary parameters.
· Documenting technical initiatives and driving continuous improvements across the site. This will include carrying out internal audits and maintaining internal database systems to improve food safety and quality at all stages of product lifecycles.
The Person
We’re looking for an ambitious and talented Technical specialist educated to degree level with technical or quality experience gained from working in the food industry. You’ll have worked within a manufacturing environment where you have gained experience in quality systems, microbiology and food hygiene.
You must also have strong communication and organisational skills along with the ability to work on your own initiative. You have great interpersonal skills and are able to build strong professional relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
Fluency in French would be desirable.
