Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year Requirements:
* Experience working in a data centre or critical infrastructure environment
* Strong understanding of physical server hardware and installations
* Good working knowledge of structured cabling standards and practices
* Experience using ticketing or service desk systems
* A proactive, hands-on attitude with a desire to learn and develop
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Solid general IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
* Familiarity with monitoring or building management systems (desirable)
* Basic understanding of networking (switching, routing) (desirable)
* Awareness of power, cooling, and resilience concepts within critical environments (desirable)
Responsibilities:
* Support daily operations of the data centre in line with established processes and best practice
* Monitor infrastructure systems and respond to alerts and incidents promptly
* Manage incidents, changes, and service requests via a ticketing/helpdesk platform
* Install and maintain server racks, hardware, and structured cabling
* Deliver responsive, high-quality remote hands support to customers within SLA
* Install and manage cross-connects in accordance with documented patching plans
* Receive and manage equipment deliveries, including inventory tracking and logistics
* Liaise with external technical and mechanical service providers as required
* Carry out general operational and ad hoc data centre tasks
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
