Foundation Phase Class Teacher
Location – Cardiff
Hours – Full time
Start Date – May 2026
We are currently recruiting for a Primary School Teacher to join the Foundation Phase in a Primary School based in the centre of Cardiff. The role will be full-time and will start in the summer term. The successful candidate will be experienced and dedicated in the position, with a passion for working with children and a good knowledge of the school’s curriculum. The role will include, planning and delivering high standard lessons that will fit the needs of the pupils. The teacher also has the responsibility to monitor and develop the class progression, creating good relationships with both the children and parents in the school. The school is passionate about providing a positive learning environment and is happy for the successful teacher to bring their own techniques and ideas to the role.
Successful Teacher Criteria:
* Enthusiastic and confident when leading the class.
* Ability to create and maintain relationships with children, parents, and staff at the school.
* Excellent communication skills and good behaviour management.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team environment.
* Confident when planning and delivering high standard lessons that fit with the school’s curriculum.
Requirement Criteria:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate
* EWC registration – mandatory requirement in Wales.
* Experience working within Foundation Phase
