We are working closely with a business based in Northallerton who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join them on a part-time contract. Initially till the end of the year with sight to extend the contract. They are looking for someone for 20 hours per week, and are open to how this can be worked across the week.
The business has recently undergone restructuring, and you will be the main point of contact for account queries, processing day-to-day finances, and assisting the wider team.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
1. Preparation of Management Accounts
2. Managing both Purchase and Sales Ledgers
3. Produce routine reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
4. Support reporting and information for key stakeholders
5. Credit control, including chasing and collecting monies due from customers
6. Other ad-hoc work as required to support the Finance function.
7. New customer set up and review of credit terms
8. Producing Customer invoices and credit notes
9. Be a point of contact for any finance queries
Skills and Experience:
10. Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
12. AAT or Accounting degree qualification – preferred
13. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other computer systems and databases
14. Ability to use initiative to organise themselves and others to ensure deadlines are met
15. A flexible team player with the ability to work proactively
