Overview
I am a 47 year old gentleman living in the Upper Neath Valley area. I enjoy watching football on TV and used to attend Swansea City home games when able. My current priority is to have support to access the community and use buses as needed. I am unable to drive due to wrist surgery and cannot self-propel a wheelchair at this time; I require a Personal Assistant (PA) to push my wheelchair and assist with getting out and about.
Purpose
* Take me out on the bus to places such as Morfa Retail Park and the town centre.
* Take me to the cinema and other social activities.
* Take me to appointments such as doctors and dentists, among others.
* Help me leave the house in my wheelchair, use buses, and occasionally explore the local area in my wheelchair.

Hours
10 hours per week, to be completed over 2 weekdays.
Conditions and Requirements
* This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC).
* If the post requires you to work with children, it is compulsory to have a DBS check prior to commencement.
* Two satisfactory references may be required, if requested by the employer.
* There is a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
* Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
* You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement and all other statutory entitlements, as detailed in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when employment commences.
* You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
