Principal Business Consultant – Openlink
The goal of the Principal Consultant is to complete successful implementation projects while ensuring customer satisfaction, contributing to best practices of the group, and mentoring other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Successfully implements projects while ensuring customer satisfaction.
2. Contributing to best practices of the group and mentoring other team members.
3. Supports the Project Manager on engagements, including SOW creation, project planning, etc.
4. Serves as Lead Business Consultant on implementation projects in one or more functional areas.
5. Maintains full chargeability on multiple client accounts.
6. Authors Best Practice Documents in the functional area.
7. Identifies and pursues sales opportunities for additional consulting work.
8. Provides information to Managers, Professional Services Director, or Account Manager as appropriate.
9. Provides industry and functional expertise during discovery workshops, design, configuration, testing, and support.
10. Acts as the principal point of contact for clients for consultation and expert advice.
11. Communicates closely with the Project Manager regarding client questions and issues.
12. Leads requirements gathering and design phases of projects.
13. Mentors and role models for Business Consultants in relevant functional areas.
14. Works with Managers to enhance, publish, and train staff on implementation best practices.
15. Presents solutions to both executive and user-level audiences.
16. Supports the Project Manager in obtaining client sign-off on deliverables and milestones.
17. Participates actively in all phases of product implementation.
18. Provides sales support through estimation, documentation for RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and demonstrations.
19. Supports technical consultants by providing business guidance, review, testing, and validation of solutions.
20. Collaborates with Product Management to stay updated on industry developments.
21. Assists in defining service best practices.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
1. Experience with Openlink Endur in implementation roles.
2. 5-10 years' experience in ETRM industry, systems implementation, or similar projects, preferably in consulting.
3. Subject matter expertise in Middle Office/Risk, with at least 5 years specifically in Endur Middle Office implementation.
4. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or related IT field, or equivalent experience.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a project team.
6. Willingness to work onsite at client locations.
7. 8-10 years of experience in designing, configuring, troubleshooting client installations.
8. Deep industry/system knowledge.
9. Expertise in multiple areas of product configuration and industry-specific product sets.
10. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
