Uprawr Mental Health Foundation is seeking a passionate, well-connected individual from the alternative and rock music scene to lead music industry fundraising activations. This role focuses on creating value for the music industry while supporting vital mental health initiatives.
We seek someone who lives and breathes music, understands both live and recorded sectors, and can build impactful partnerships with artists, festivals, venues, and brands. The role is remote, with occasional travel to events.
The Role
1. Establish festival partnerships, initiatives, and activations.
2. Develop partnerships to acquire signed drum skins.
3. Collaborate with bands on limited-edition merchandise.
4. Coordinate guest list donation schemes with tours and venues.
5. Recruit and support ambassadors from the scene to promote our work.
6. Innovate new fundraising ideas connecting the music industry and mental health.
7. Manage each activation from concept to completion, independently or with the team.
The Person
We require someone with established industry contacts ready to leverage from day one. You must:
* Possess a strong network of music industry contacts (artists, managers, promoters, labels, etc.).
* Be capable of independently delivering projects from start to finish.
* Be confident working remotely, flexibly, and autonomously.
* Have experience in the live or recording sectors of the music industry.
* Be comfortable collaborating on commercial initiatives with artists and brands.
* Understand the tone and values of the alternative and rock music communities.
Bonus points if you are already passionate about mental health causes.
Additional Info
This role is flexible, available part-time or full-time based on your availability. We welcome applicants already working in the music industry who wish to add this role to their current commitments. Relevant backgrounds include management, agency work, promotion, label A&R, or strong scene connections. We value experience that allows you to hit the ground running.
If you're in a band, that’s a plus—especially if you have toured extensively, worked with professional management, booking agents, record labels, and built relationships within the scene, particularly with established or high-profile bands. You should understand the inner workings of the industry and possess the connections to prove it.
