About the Role We are looking for a dynamic Maths Subject Lead to drive excellence across our maths curriculum and play a pivotal role in shaping teaching and learning within the school. Working closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and wider leadership team, you will champion high standards, innovative practice, and outstanding outcomes for students. In this key role, you will lead curriculum development, mentor and support colleagues, and model exemplary teaching, helping to create a learning environment where students are engaged, challenged, and inspired by mathematics. What You’ll Do Lead the development and delivery of the maths curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning Model outstanding teaching and support staff through coaching, demonstration lessons, and guidance Mentor and develop new staff, including NQTs and colleagues taking on new responsibilities Assist teachers with planning, assessment, target-setting, and effective use of data Conduct classroom observations and contribute to performance management processes Stay up-to-date with best practice in maths education and share expertise across the department Oversee departmental operations, including weekly meetings, reviews, and documentation Support exam processes alongside senior leaders, ensuring quality and compliance Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR compliance, and SEN alignment Contribute to whole-school initiatives, promoting innovation and excellence in teaching and learning Qualifications Required Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Supporting Statement As part of your application, please include a supporting statement addressing the following: Tell us a little about yourself and explain why you are interested in this position.
