As part of our continued growth, were excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated and close-knit team at Baston House School, part of the Options Autism family.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting our teachers to deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of our pupilshelping to maximise their achievement, independence, and confidence. You will support teaching and learning in both individual and small group settings, lead lessons when required, and build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and interaction. You will also contribute to maintaining a strong safeguarding culture and bring a proactive, flexible approach to classroom support and behaviour management.
Were looking for someone who:
Has achieved Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status
Has experience working within an SEN/ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) setting
Is calm, confident, and resilient in the face of challenges
Can work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider education team
Is confident leading lessons or small groups when required
Is committed to empowering every pupil to reach their full potential
Qualifications Required:
English and Maths GCSE (essential)
HLTA qualification (desirable)
